Cars Details: The last 2 cars I sold myself, I wasn't actually actively selling. In 2003 my fleet consisted of a '78 Olds Delta 88 4-door, a '79 Buick Electra 225 Park Avenue, and my '68 Cutlass. Yes, in 2003. I'll leave the Cutlass out of this as it is a hobby car. For years when I lived and worked downtown, it was the only car I had.

Old car safety — Car Forums at Edmunds.com

Cars Details: Some cars had it mounted ahead of the front suspension, so even a relatively minor impact could drive the steering column back like a spear. Shoulder belts were a major advance too, appearing in 1968, although it seemed the automakers back then went out of their way to make them obnoxious to use.

How Much Profit Should A Car Dealer Make? — Car Forums at

Cars Details: Another dealer may charge $500 markup and sell 2000 cars. Same net income. A third dealer may go for an $800 markup and sell 1500 cars. The net here is $1.2 million. The dealer selling 500 cars will not need as many sales people as the one trying to sell 2000 cars, so his costs should be less.

rustproofing — Car Forums at Edmunds.com

Cars Details: When I was a kid, I use to see a lot of cars with the rocker panels painted with a yellowish substance. Is "White" a manly color for a car? — Car Forums at
